TRAIN THE TRAINER

IN-HOUSE MANUAL HANDLING EQUIPMENT TRAINER COURSE
Develop Your Own In-House Training Capability
Our In-House Manual Handling Equipment Trainer Course is designed for businesses looking to develop competent, confident trainers within their own organisation.
The course empowers selected employees to enable them to deliver their own training to colleagues on the specific manual handling equipment that is used at their workplace.
By developing your own in-house trainers, your organisation can build greater confidence and consistency around equipment operation, while supporting ongoing workplace safety and competence.
Who is the course for?
The course is suitable for nominated employees who:
-
Have previous experience operating the relevant equipment
-
Are confident and competent in its use
-
Have a good understanding of the vehicle and its working environment
-
Are willing to take responsibility for training colleagues
-
Have the communication skills and confidence to deliver training to others
Assessment and Certification
To become an in-house trainer, delegates must successfully complete a series of assessments designed to demonstrate both their operating competence and their ability to train others.
Delegates will first complete an operator theory and practical assessment to demonstrate their own competence in safely operating the equipment.
They will then complete a trainer theory examination, followed by a practical training session where they will plan and deliver a training session to another member of the group.
Following successful completion of the course, delegates will have 30 days to complete and submit a collaborative training plan.
This demonstrates their understanding of the health and safety requirements associated with their role, as well as their responsibilities as an in-house trainer.
The training plan and requirements will be fully explained during the course, with guidance provided to support delegates throughout the process.
Once the training plan has been successfully completed and approved, the delegate will be recognised as a qualified in-house trainer for the specific equipment covered by the course.
Ongoing competence
Successful delegates will receive In-House trainer certification, with renewal recommended every 5 years.
Operator certification is recommended for renewal every 3 years, helping your organisation maintain ongoing competence and high standards of workplace safety.
Invest in your own in-house expertise
Developing your own in-house trainers can provide your organisation with a practical and sustainable approach to maintaining operator competence.
Our course gives your nominated employees the knowledge, confidence and skills needed to deliver effective training to their colleagues — helping you maintain a safer, more competent workplace.
