Walpole Training is a NUCO accredited training provider.  That means that our training syllabus is approved by First Aid Awards Ltd, an awarding body regulated by Ofqual.

This ensures that our clients receive a range of regulated qualifications such as First Aid at Work, Emergency First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid.

We aim to give clients the knowledge, ability and confidence to act in any

First Aid situation.  Whether that's performing life saving CPR or looking after anyone with a medical emergency.  Our courses are relaxed, informative and interactive which ensures each attendee feels valued and at ease.  Our training is delivered by Daniel Walpole who has over 12 years training experience including over 5 years working as a First Aid trainer for the British Red Cross.

First Aid at Work & First Aid at Work Requalification (2 Days)

These FAA Level 3 courses are packed with all the information the attendee requires to be a confident and responsible first aider at work.  The content includes:

 

  • Legislation, Responsibilities and Reporting

  • Assessing a scene

  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty

  • CPR and the use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)

  • Bleeding and Bandaging

  • Choking

  • Medical conditions including Heart Attacks, Anaphylactic Shock & Strokes

  • Fractures, Sprains and Strains

  • And much more...

 

Course Duration:

3 days for First Aid at Work and 2 days for the First Aid at Work Requalification.

Course Requirements:
All the course delegates must be present from start to finish on each day of the course to be put forward for assessment and certification.  A suitable, class/meeting room is required for the full duration of the course with adequate lighting, seating, toilets and handwashing facilities a necessity.

Assessment and Certification:

On successful completion of the practical and theory assessments, the delegate will receive a NUCO accredited First Aid at Work certificate as proof of competency which is valid for 3 years.  The practical assessment is competency based and is largely done by continuous observation throughout.
 

Emergency First Aid at Work

This FAA Level 3 course is aimed at clients who require emergency first aid at work cover in working environments that may be less hazardous or have a lower number of staff/visitors on site.

 

Course Content Includes:

  • Legislation, Responsibilities and Reporting

  • Aims of First Aid

  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty

  • CPR and the use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)

  • Bleeding and Bandaging

  • Choking

  • Burns

  • Seizures

Course Duration:

 1 day
 

Course Requirements:

All the course delegates must be present from start to finish to be put forward for assessment and certification.  A suitable, class/meeting room is required for the full duration of the course with adequate lighting, seating, toilets and hand-washing facilities a necessity.

Paediatric First Aid and Emergency Paediatric First Aid (1 day)

These FAA Level 3 courses are aimed at clients who work in childcare environments such as schools, nurseries, and childminding.  This course will ensure that each delegate who has gained their certification, is fully qualified and accredited to meet their employers health and safety legislations and obligations.

 

Course Content Includes:

  • Legislation, Responsibilities and Reporting

  • Role of the Paediatric First Aider

  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty

  • CPR and the use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)

  • Bleeding and Bandaging

  • Choking

  • Febrile convulsions

  • Meningitis (2 day course)

  • Fractures (2 day course)

  • And much more...

Course Duration:

 2 days for the Paediatric First Aid and 1 day for the Emergency Paediatric First Aid.
